Matt Whitaker 

Matt Whitaker is an author based out of Portland, OR. He grew up scouring discount record bins with his father. It was during one of these outings that he ran across a cassette tape of Super Hits of the 70s: Have a Nice Day, Vol. 2. When Matt and his father returned to their car, they popped the tape into the deck. The first song that played was “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes” by Edison Lighthouse and Matt was instantly hooked. When his father couldn’t tell him anything about the band, Matt remained curious and wondered why the band never released anything else of such significance. Nearly thirty years later, Matt dedicated an entire book to Edison Lighthouse and 365 other One-Hit Wonders. 366 Days of One-Hit Wonders is the culmination of being a lifelong music fan and always wanting to write a book of his own. He is currently working on the sequel and continues to dig through the dollar section of his local record stores whenever possible.
